Kick it!
This isn’t going to be popular, but unlike Stephen A. Smith, I won’t be bullied into changing my opinion.
Mental health issues are real, they exist, and it has a huge effect not only on the individual going through the mental health struggle, but also the people around them.
I’m around it in my day job, I’ve been around it for over thirty years in my home…however…mental health issues—like so many other things in our present culture—are abused.
Our culture has become soft, our culture has become passive, and, simply put, our culture has become overly feminized.
All efforts are spent coaching the boy out of the boy and raising the boy in the girl.
We do not develop or encourage grit in our young people. Thus, our young people have little to no ability to grind through the hard times that come in life.
Mental health issues are real, but does everybody have a mental health issue? Please!
Mental health is the easy, low-hanging fruit, a passive, soft, weak, overly feminized, Marxist-infiltrated culture reaches for when things become hard. When there’s struggle. When there’s a need to grind through, a mental health claim allows you to tap out.
(Think about this: claiming a mental health issue will allow you to tap out on raising your children—and even help you avoid consequences for murdering your children.)
Instead of pushing through, the individual calls out over mental health and is immediately insulated by the culture from any criticism, consequence, or expectation.
I don’t know retired Philadelphia Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson…maybe he does have a mental health issue…but I’m confident in saying the preponderance of those claiming mental issues is not because of an abusive environment in their upbringing, a chemical imbalance, or a traumatic event…they claim it because it’s an easy out that’s protected like the vault at Fort Knox.
And if you question it, you’re the devil and every other expletive under the sun.
Stephen A. Smith’s wrong in this situation wasn’t bringing up some legitimate and honest points about an athlete popping smoke four weeks into a tough start to a season…but in apologizing to the soft, the weak, the passive, overly feminized, Marxist-influenced culture for challenging their protected status.
Now, you can come after me on this…but I know what I know…I know what I’ve seen…I know the calls I’ve responded to in the middle of the night…I know what’s real—and there’s plenty of real (See students who’ve become soldiers who have PTSD)…but there’s a whole lot of fraud…and too many willing to embrace, affirm and advance that fraud.
Why would they affirm the fraud? Because it serves their social and political agenda by creating the useful idiots needed to bring about and sustain the cultural/societal upheaval they desire.
And that is a very real thing…but hush-hush, keep it down now–voices carry.
…#123—May the San Francisco Giants rot and lie stinking in the earth…
The Dude abides…
