Notes On A Thursday Night Scorecard: Tampa Bay at Dallas
.)—Note to Todd Bowles: The reason you can’t have nice things…is because you don’t kick the field goal when you’re up 24-10 in the fourth quarter and have a chance to take a three-possession lead…
.)—The cutaways to the Dallas Cowboys bench in the fourth quarter showed a defeated team…and then Bowles gave them life.
.)—Note Brian Schottenheimer…kick the extra-point…
.)—Note to Jerry Jones: It’s time to consult an exorcist regarding the condition of your team
.)—Cowboys might want to give Wade Phillips a call to take over at DC… he’s only 79.
.)—One possession for each team in the first quarter…
)—Tampa wasn’t shy about letting Jalon Daniels throw out of the end zone. For an undrafted rookie, Daniels had a lot of talent around him: Chris Godwin, Emeka Egbuka, Cade Otton, Bucky Irvin, and Tristan Wirfs at LT… that’s a Pro Bowl squad compared to what Jalen Hurts is working with.
.)—Not only did the Cowboys defense save Tampa Bay HC Todd Bowles job…they probably got him a raise.
.)—Maybe Dallas is incurring some possible bad mojo because they haven’t respected the legacy of Tony Dorsett. In 11 seasons, Dorsett rushed for over 12,000 yards, won a Super Bowl, and was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1994…but Javonte Williams is wearing his #33.
.)—In the third quarter last night, I thought I heard someone say, “Otter, this is ridiculous!”
.)—You think the Detroit Lions miss Alex Anzalone?
.)—If the NFL used proper analytics, that last interception by Dak Prescott wouldn’t go into his column… but Jake Ferguson’s… You have unearned runs in baseball…there should be unearned picks in football.
.)—How bad is the NFC East?… I thought the Cowboys had a shot…I don’t know anymore…
.)—QB Daniels 19/25/189 yards & TD…RB Irvin 21/165 yards & TD….CB Jacob Parrish 9 tackles, 8 solo, 4 passes defensed.
.) Tampa improves to 1-4, Dallas falls to 2-3.

I hate choosing Thursday games🙄😎
From Joe T.: It was weird for me because of how I feel about Dallas. So in effort to keep prejudice and bias out…I took what I honestly thought was the best team–Dallas–and even though it was hurting me in the credibility department I found myself rooting for Tampa.
