Kick it!

Is it too cliché or jejune to say, “It’s Josh Allen’s world, and we’re just living in it.”…?

I’m not ready to cancel the Los Angeles Rams season. I’m not ready to blame the players. However, it’s time to blame—not fire—Sean McVay.

I argued last night that McVay is only out-coaching himself. His staff, on the other hand… It’s time to take Chris Shula to the woodshed.

The Cardinals were held to no touchdowns, good, but the players’ talent made that happen… Shula’s lack of adjustment and vision allowed a team led by Jacoby Brissett and Bam Knight to abuse them up and down the field.

Think about that…

I’m down for firing Bubba Ventrone right now. I’m down to have someone in the special teams room canned each week until things get straightened out….Because sometimes it just comes down to the fear of the Lord…or, in this case, the unemployment line.

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is out for the season; we know that…but who put him on that plane coming back from London…let alone put him on the field after they discovered the blood clot.

Where were his handlers, agents, entourage, all those people who get money from him, whose job it is to look out for him?

I’m anxious to see the ratings, but goodness gracious, does anything scream entitlement more than WNBA players leaving the court before the national anthem?

Since their money is all welfare, they have accountability to no one…Then they trot out that announcing team that makes Beth Mowins sound like Dick Enberg…(How many times did we have to hear: “Spin Cycle!”). Then they try again the flex that Angel Reese is a super talent…and, finally, Atlanta & Golden State ends with an atrocious 68-64 score…and we get the narrative that it’s good tough basketball.

Hey, everyone has the right to be bad, but the WNBA abuses the privilege.

Speaking of bad…or just not working out…
Where will Arch Manning be playing next year…Northern Iowa? San Jose State? UTSA?…It won’t be in the NFL unless somebody wants to roll the dice on the second day of the draft.

An unintended consequence of NIL: quarterbacks are staying in college long enough for NFL teams to know they should avoid them.

I’ve criticized Indianapolis Colts owner Carli Irsay-Gordon for the performative note-taking on the sideline, but… she was absolutely right to fire GM Chris Ballard this morning.

She should order whoever steps in to start the fire sale…and give HC Shane Steichen a choice: resign at the end of the season or get fired now.

While I’m not out on the Rams…because there’s still a possibility they can turn things around. We’ve seen it before…When it comes to the Los Angeles Chargers…that franchise should be relegated to the CFL.

They’re so bad that even joking about them is like kicking a three-legged dog.
How about this: fire Mike McDaniel now…Hope that Carlie Irsay-Gordon fires Shane Steichen…and then the Bolts can bring back Steichen as OC.

Seeing the edge play by the Rams…I’d offer the Chargers a little something for Khalil Mack…And if the Colts are putting DeForest Buckner on the market…I’d make a call.

Hoping the Tampa Bay Rays can close things out against the Cleveland STDs…and then enjoy seeing the MLB & Fox squirm in promoting a Rays-Brewers World Series.

Off the top…the Brew is True! (And I ain’t talking Stroh’s)

***#128—May the San Francisco Giants rot and lie stinking in the earth…

The Lakers open their season on Wednesday at home against the Golden State Warriors…and I have to say, for the first time—in forever—I’m interested.

Walker Kessler is the 2026 version of Vlade Divac.

The Dude abides…
