Unbelievably, Bronny James is still a member of the Lakers! The last-minute save sent former #1 pick Dalton Knecht on his way, and Lakers fans have to endure the results of LBJ’s nightmare demands for another season.
So the player with more turnovers than points in preseason, Bronny (11 points/12 turnovers), is still on the roster.
This “FREE PASS” has followed him his whole hoops career. Over 15,000 HS boys averaged more points than Bronny did his senior year—15,000!
Yet, he was named McDonald’s All-American at 14.2 ppg.
That earned him a free ride to USC—which ignored countless better basketball players and Bronny’s own health scares—where he averaged 4.8 ppg.
The Lakers drafted him when 367 D-1 schools had 6 to 7 players per team, with better numbers…2,570+ with better numbers!
For example, the Lakers passed on San Diego State’s Jaedon LeDee, who averaged 21.4 pts, 8.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.3 steals on 56/44/73% shooting with an NBA body. He currently plays for the Minnesota Timberwolves.
But the Lakers went with an undersized guard who doesn’t know where he needs to be on the floor—nearly every time down the court.
Bronny’s presence on the 2026-27 Lakers roster stains the franchise, the league, and basketball.
WNBA:
Speaking of stains on the game of basketball, the WNBA is ignoring its own rules again and allowing the Golden State Valkyries and the Atlanta Dream to run off the court during the national anthem.
Having done it in both games, it’s obvious these players hate the fans and the country, and they don’t want your business.
They want only a specific demographic, yet want all the perks of a newly expanding League, especially since Caitlin Clark’s arrival.
Just speculation, but I expect that when Clark fulfills her contract and takes her talents to Project B for well over $100m, the Networks will honor their commitments and then walk away. The WNBA will then go the way of WBL, LPBA, WABA, and others.
These players can’t get out of their own way.
