Bills 37, Rams 34 OT

Takeaways:

***Matthew Stafford can still play as he goes 40-of-54 for 383 yards and 3 touchdowns.

***Everyone is screaming special teams—rightly so—but the defensive front got pushed like they haven’t been pushed around in years.

***“I’m sick right now with myself and I’m so proud of that group. This is the tough part of sports but I’m proud of that team. I’m proud of the way that we battled. And I’m sick that we came up short. I’ll be regretting kicking that and not having a better call to be able to go for it on third down and go to fourth or whatever it was. It’s on me.”—Sean McVay

***Harrison Mevis missed his first kick…but what’s more troubling is the blocked kick in overtime was an operational failure. There’s no argument, any longer, against putting Mevis in the street…but does that improve the operation?

***Puka Nacua (17) & Davante Adams combined for 22 catches, 189 yards, 3 touchdowns.

***Alaric Jackson, who didn’t get a suspension for his offseason issues, will likely be suspended for punching Bills LBer Bradley Chubb after the game.

***The NFC West:
Fog City—5-0
Emerald City—3-2
Rams—2-3
Cardinals—1-4
Notes: The season is far from over, but it is time to modify expectations.

***The Rams next five games: Cardinals, @Raiders, Chargers, TaxSkins, @Cardinals…They can easily be 7-3 when the Packers visit on Thanksgiving Eve.

***The 49ers next five games: TaxSkins, @Falcons, Raiders, @Cowboys, Vikings…They can (provided health holds out) easily be 10-0 when the Seahawks visit Levi Stadium.

***As of right now no injuries are being reported.
