Kick it!
Why are Rams fans pronouncing Blake Corum dead and buried?
The irony of the rekindled love affair with Kyren Williams is that everyone wanted him gone after he fumbled at the start of the season and the ball given exclusively to Corum.
Note to Rams Fans: Chill, because before the season is over, a Williams failure will lead to a clamor for Corum that will rival the Israelites’ cry to Moses that there weren’t enough graves in Egypt that they were led into the wilderness.
Williams is the hot hand right now…enjoy it, and be grateful that Corum is on this roster and ready to rumble.
Speaking of buried…I bury Kiki Hernandez all the time…I found his F-bomb on national TV in 2024—after checking to be sure the interview was going out live—childish, a bad representation of Dodgers culture, and a terrible look for sports in America.
He should have been fined, suspended, not by the MLB but by the club. I am not a fan, but he is better than F.P. Santangelo.
(Note: MLB did fine him and wanted a suspension, but the players’ union stepped in.)
But I have to say, as a non-fan, Kike Hernandez has consistently been one of the best postseason players I’ve ever seen.
Not a super talent, not a great player, but absolutely incredible in the most critical moments.
When I see Hernandez, I think about former Dodger catcher/outfielder Joe Ferguson—an average player who always had a knack for producing in the clutch.
I love The Tomahawk Chop. I loved hearing the Tomahawk Chop while watching the Seminole from Florida State ride to midfield and thrust the flaming lance into the grass before kickoff.
I hate the Atlanta Braves, am good with the Kansas City Chiefs, and absolutely love seeing/hearing entire stadiums do The Tomahawk Chop.
And as someone with more Native American DNA/blood than Elizabeth Warren, I love that The Tomahawk Chop drives LA Times columnist Bill Plaschke and the rest of the KBM absolutely crazy.
The elites will claim, scream, and stomp racism, but what they’re really upset about is a loss of control. Loss of the ability to determine for you and me what to be offended by.
And since we’re here…#122—May the San Francisco Giants rot and lie stinking in the earth…
Who would have thunk it possible, but the Dallas Cowboys could win the NFC East. The Philadelphia Eagles are melting away before our very eyes—see Lane Johnson retirement—the New York Giants don’t have enough.
As of right now, the NFC South, led by Atlanta and Carolina, is a better division than the NFC East.
It’s amazing what four weeks of helmets, pads, and live action can change and produce.
The Minnesota Vikings have signed OBJ. Think about that locker room, OBJ and Kyler Murray in the same locker room.
This isn’t a shot at Colin Cowherd — he only repeated it —but if Advanced Analytics is saying Brock Purdy is the greatest quarterback ever to play in the NFL…then maybe we need to rethink our massive dependence on Advanced Analytics.
Last Add Cowboys: Without Doug Williams and Hugh Green, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will get blown out in Dallas on Thursday night.
The Lakers open their season on October 21st at Golden State. While I’ve said this team interests me, how seriously should we take the Lakers if Bronny James is still on this roster two weeks from now?
The Dude abides…
